Day 1: Culture, Colour, and Literary Charm 📖

Start your first day at the Chapel of Souls (Capela das Almas), one of the most beautiful examples of Porto's signature blue-and-white azulejo tiles. The church’s entire exterior tells religious stories in vivid detail, making it a photographer’s dream.

From there, head to Mercado do BolhĂŁo, a recently restored traditional market bursting with local produce, flowers, and character. Grab a snack or some artisan goods before browsing the chic offerings at Costa Nova Porto Store, a stylish boutique celebrating Portuguese design.

Enjoy a refined lunch at Cozinha das Flores, where seasonal ingredients and creative presentation elevate local cuisine. Afterward, sip something elegant at FlĂŽr Bar Porto, known for its artistic cocktails and intimate ambiance.

In the afternoon, step back in time at Majestic CafĂ©, an iconic Belle Époque tearoom filled with ornate mirrors, chandeliers, and marble-topped tables. It’s a perfect place for coffee and a pastel de nata.

Next, head to Livraria Lello, one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores and rumoured inspiration for J.K. Rowling’s Hogwarts. Don’t miss the stained-glass skylight and grand staircase. End the day with a peek at Vista Alegre, a shop showcasing Portugal’s most prestigious porcelain.

Day 2: Artful Exploration and Ocean Views đŸ–Œïž

Begin your day with a craft cocktail at The Royal Cocktail Club, an upscale bar that’s a favourite among Porto locals and visitors alike. Then wander down Rua de Miguel Bombarda, a contemporary art hub packed with galleries, boutiques, and street art.

Next, climb the iconic ClĂ©rigos Church and Tower for panoramic views over the city’s orange rooftops. Refuel at Restaurante Semea, a modern, chef-driven spot serving beautifully plated dishes with bold flavours.

Spend your afternoon at the Museu de Arte Contemporùnea de Serralves, located in a striking minimalist building surrounded by lush gardens. Then, head toward the sea for a peaceful break at Casa de Chå da Boa Nova, a tea house and Michelin-starred restaurant perched on ocean-side rocks, designed by famed architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

Wrap up the day exploring Bombarda – Porto’s Creative District, or visit the Church of Saint Francis, a Gothic gem with an unexpectedly ornate Baroque interior.

Day 3: Historic Icons and Coastal Sunset 🌅

Begin your final day with a walk across the Luís I Bridge, Porto’s most iconic structure. Enjoy stunning views of the Douro River and the city’s hilly terrain before visiting the majestic Porto Cathedral, with its fortress-like architecture and scenic cloister.

Next, stop by the Atkinson Museum, a hidden gem showcasing diverse art collections in a beautifully restored palace. Then head across the river to WOW Porto, a cultural complex of museums, restaurants, and wine experiences celebrating Portuguese heritage.

Spend your late afternoon relaxing at Base Porto, a rooftop garden bar perfect for lounging under the sun with a cocktail in hand. Finally, end your journey with a seaside dinner at Restaurante Praia da Luz, where you can enjoy fresh seafood as the Atlantic waves roll in.
