Il Palazzo ExperimentalHotel

Il Palazzo Experimental

Absolutely stunning hotel - the interiors are beautiful and the location is excellent.
Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. They helped me many times with advice for transport and routes to take to make the most of my trip.
My room was clean and comfortable.
Everything you need for your stay.
Food was really lovely too. Breakfast is a choice of a wide range of sweet and savoury options - I sampled both during my stay.
I had dinner there twice too - food was incredible.
Loved the location - about a 25 min walk to St Mark's Square, which I loved as meant I got to explore more along the way. And there is so much to see en route to the main touristy areas.
For me, I liked to be somewhere quieter that I can go back to relax in after a busy day of exploring.
Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

Day 1

* Head to St Mark’s Square via Ponte dell'Accademia (great views from this bridge)
* St Mark’s Square and Basilica (€3 to go in but be prepared to queue)
* Pit stop: Caffè Florian (incredible historic cafe)

* Walk to Rialto Bridge for the best view of the grand canal
* Fondaco dei Tedeschi - great views from the rooftop terrace

Day 2

Take a day trip to visit Burano and Murano – two of the most charming islands near Venice. The former became famous mostly thanks to its colorful houses whereas the other one is renowned for its glass-making tradition.
